MARG Swarnabhoomi to host AR Rahman Concert in aid of The A R Rahman Foundation and The Shakti Foundation
Chennai, October 01, 2009: MARG Limited, India's fastest growing integrated infrastructure company is playing host to the Mozart of music A R Rahman at MARG Sawrnabhoomi on the East Coast Road (ECR), after Mahabalipuram, in Chennai on October 11th. The concert is a fund raiser for The Shakti Foundation, an organisation striving to make a difference and bring about a change in the lives of the physically challenged and the A R Rahman Foundation that endeavours to make poverty history by setting up educational institutions to offer world class, state-of-the-art infrastructure and education to underprivileged children. The Live In Concert, is a part of A R Rahman's 'Jai Ho World Tour' and is the first in Chennai after the Oscars.
The 1000 acre MARG Swarnabhoomi, the new paradigm for business , living and learning – coming up on the scenic ECR is all geared to host the mega event which is expected to be attended by over 30,000 music lovers of Chennai , Pondicherry and surrounding areas. Free transport arrangements will be available from various bus depots. The 10000 sq ft stage, the best of the light and sound, LED walls and an array of pyrotechnics will make the show the most spectacular that Chennai has ever seen. Parking for over 800 buses and 5000 cars, 10,000 2 wheelers, multiple entry and exit points, large roads and other infrastructure facilities will make the experience a once in a life time one.
The concert will feature 80 performers, the music maestro's latest super hits, and include India's top singers and performers such as Hariharan, Sivamani, Sadhana Sargam, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, amongst other celebrated artistes.
